We verify residency using your California Driver’s License or AB60 License.

We verify your gross annual household income using your tax transcript. If you didn’t file taxes, we can still work with you.

This process, which includes income verification and program education requirements, can take up to three months, depending on how quickly you complete each step and our processing times.

…and receive an Approval Letter in the mail.

You must receive an Approval Letter BEFORE you purchase a vehicle. We do not offer rebates and you cannot redeem a grant if you have purchased a vehicle before being approved.
